LPI’s practice encompasses both private and government sectors, including multiple NYC agencies. We are committed to a very high quality standard and have an excellent track record, reflected by the fact that a high percentage of our work is repeat business and referrals. Our business model is built with a focus on quality, and our professionals take extreme pride in their work. Everyone at LPI understands that reputations take years to build, and must be actively maintained.
LPI has extensive commissioning experience, and has provided both fundamental and enhanced commissioning on more than 17 million square feet on various projects. We also provide Continuous Commissioning and Post Occupancy Evaluations, processes which involve monitoring the functioning of facilities to ensure performance levels are maintained.
LPI provides hands on testing and monitoring, using our qualified technicians with an average of 20 years of experience, and are capable of meeting the demands of HVAC building commissioning on a large-scale basis. Support services also include non-destructive testing techniques such as infrared imaging, ultrasonic thickness testing, and chiller/boiler eddy current testing. For monitoring energy efficient measures in the implementation phase, our engineers can install and monitor data loggers and tracking devices. Additionally, to help develop transparency for savings associated with specific energy efficiency measures, we work with clients to develop an M&V plan primarily based on the International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP).
LPI has Building Envelope and NYC DOB expertise, and has the unique capability to draw from over 100 architects and engineers with deep knowledge of building envelope consulting and commissioning, building use, egress, occupancy, bulk, fire safety, sustainability consulting and energy analysis. Former NYC Buildings Commissioner, Robert LiMandri, and several other former NYC DOB regulatory officials, are members of LPI’s sister company, Vidaris. This relationship complements our Building Commissioning and Inspection Service offerings by giving careful consideration to the complex interdependency of mechanical systems and building envelope, as well as building code, energy code, multiple dwelling, and zoning law impacts.
